The Lusaka Times says that MTN Zambia will debut its 5G service on November 24. Felix Mutati, Zambia’s minister of science and technology, acknowledged the impending launch and claimed the technology would support the nation’s digital transformation.
“We will launch 5G on November 24th, working with MTN, because of the good things we are doing, which will happen next week. Making sure that clients have a good experience, getting things moving quickly, and putting Zambia truly in the Champions League,”
he stated
Mutati made the remarks during the Innovation Africa Summit, but he did not specify which regions of the nation would get 5G services.
It indicates that Zambia will be the newest African market to receive 5G services since the rollout of 5G has accelerated recently.
