There are some people who rent water and electricity to stay in these camps, which usually includes a bed and a shower plus a meal. One way that you can actually make money in South Africa is by doing some dog walking. I am sure you have seen some of the TV shows where these guys are walking dogs and they charge tourists quite a bit for doing nothing more than taking their dogs for a walk. So that is one way to earn some money and experience the beautiful South African outdoors. Another way is to go hiking up and down the Transvaal. It’s a beautiful mountain range and you will have a chance to see some incredible wildlife up close.
