I didn’t have connections. I didn’t have money.
I didn’t even have a phone.
Yet somehow, I figured out how to start making money online from Zambia.
And no, this isn’t one of those:
“Make K100,000 in 7 days!”
“Buy my course and become a millionaire tomorrow!”
“Just wake up at 5AM and manifest your Lamborghini!” 😂
Nah.
This is my actual story.
Where it began:
6 years ago: 2020
I’m Keith Mvula, also known as Keith Rainz, and I’ve spent years figuring out how to make money online while living right here in Zambia.
I’ve made mistakes.
I’ve wasted time.
I’ve tried things that completely flopped.
I’ve struggled with platforms that don’t even properly support Zambia.
I’ve had months where things weren’t working.
But I kept learning.
And eventually, I built multiple online income streams that allowed me to become financially independent.
Now I want to show you what I learned.
YES, YOU CAN MAKE MONEY ONLINE FROM ZAMBIA
One of the biggest things that frustrated me when I started was seeing people overseas making money online while thinking:
“Why does everything seem easier for people in the USA, UK or Europe?”
They had access to payment platforms.
They had more opportunities.
They had better infrastructure.
They had people around them already doing it.
Meanwhile, you’re in Zambia trying to figure out how you’re even going to receive your money. 😭
Some platforms don’t work here.
Some payment methods aren’t available.
Some opportunities simply aren’t designed for African countries.
And that’s exactly why I had to learn how to find opportunities that actually work from Zambia.
That’s what I want to share with you.
My full story
I finished high school in 2017 with great grades.
Then I went to NIPA to study Computer Science.
But something didn’t feel right.
I was sitting there thinking:
“I’m learning how to become an employee… but I actually want to learn how to create income for myself.”
I already knew a lot about computers, programming and the internet.
So in 2018, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life.
I left university.
Was it risky?
100%.
Would I recommend everyone do it?
Absolutely NOT.
If you’re currently in university, don’t read my story and think dropping out is automatically the answer.
It wasn’t an easy journey.
There was no guarantee that I would succeed.
I simply decided that if I was going to take this path, I had to take it seriously.
I STARTED WITH BASICALLY NOTHING
This is probably the part people don’t believe.
When I started, I didn’t have some fancy setup.
No expensive laptop.
No big investment capital.
No rich parents handing me money.
No office.
No massive audience.
I had to learn.
And I mean REALLY learn.
There were periods where I spent crazy amounts of time studying the internet, online business, trading, marketing, content creation and different ways of generating income.
I made mistakes.
A LOT of them.
But every mistake taught me something.
And slowly…
things started changing.
My achievements:
ACHIEVEMENT #1 — I GOT MY OWN BICYCLE
This might sound small to some people.
To me?
It was HUGE.
Because this wasn’t just a bicycle.
It represented something.
It was one of the first physical things I could point at and say:
“I made this happen through what I’ve been doing online.”
I went from having almost nothing…
to being able to buy something with money I had generated myself.
And that feeling?

It made me want to go further.
ACHIEVEMENT #2 — THEN CAME THE MOTORCYCLE
The bicycle was just the beginning.
Eventually, I was able to get myself a motorcycle.
Think about that for a second.
A guy from Zambia who started with basically nothing…
learning how to make money online…
and eventually buying his own motorcycle from the income he created.
At that point I knew:
“Okay… this thing can actually work.”
I wasn’t just learning random internet skills anymore.
I was building a life.
ACHIEVEMENT #3 — THEN I GOT MY OWN CAR
And eventually…
THE CAR.
This was one of those moments where I had to sit back and appreciate the journey.
Because if you had shown the younger version of me this picture and told him:
“One day you’re going to buy your own car using the income you’ve built online…”
I probably would’ve laughed.
But it happened.
Not overnight.
Not because I discovered some magical secret.
But because I spent YEARS learning, experimenting, failing, adapting and finding ways to make online income work from Zambia.
5 years later
5 years later
It took me around five years to get to where I am now.
Five years.
Not five days.
Not five weeks.
Five years.
Today, I live independently.
And one of the biggest things I’ve achieved isn’t even the bicycle.
It isn’t the motorcycle.
It isn’t the car.
It’s the fact that I can wake up knowing:
I don’t have to depend entirely on a monthly salary to survive.
I have multiple sources of income.
And because of that, if I don’t work for a period of time, I don’t immediately panic about where my next meal or rent is coming from.
That’s what financial independence means to me. This way, I can travel the continent on two wheels, one country at a time.
BUT HERE’S THE PROBLEM…
Most of the information you find online about making money is created for people in countries like the USA.
They’ll tell you:
“Just use PayPal.”
Cool.
Except…
Zambia. 😭
They’ll tell you:
“Use this payment platform.”
Not available here.
“Open this account.”
Not supported here.
“Do this.”
Doesn’t work in Zambia.
That’s why I don’t want to give you some recycled American “make money online” guide.
I want to show you the things I learned while actually trying to do this from Zambia.
